A novel computational approach to simulate microswimmers propelled by bacterial flagella

چکیده

Peritrichously flagellated bacteria swim in a fluid environment by rotating motors embedded the cell membrane and consequently multiple helical flagella. We present novel mathematical model of microswimmer that can freely run propelled flagellar bundle tumble upon motor reversals. Our is composed rod-shaped rigid body flagella randomly distributed over body. These go through polymorphic transformations. demonstrate bundling influenced distribution hence number Moreover, reorientation cells affected flagella, how many change their polymorphisms within cell, timing, different combinations sequences, random method be applied to numerous types microorganisms may help understand characteristic swimming mechanisms.
